5 Hacks you can make to your email campaigns

five hacks you can make to your email marketing campaigns

Originally posted at nufiremarketing.com/5-hacks-you-can-make-to-your-email-campaigns/

Hack #1

Starts with your email subject line. There’s millions of email sent everyday. I’m sure you receive dozens daily, if not more. So what can you do to make sure your email is read? Write a compelling subject line. The subject line is the first part that someone reads and uses it to determine if your email should be opened.

Try using lines like “Hey!” or “Waiting for your call”. These lines can help your email get open and thats the first line of defense.

Avoid words like “Reminder”, “free” or “percent off”. These can be seen as spammy and also are ready for Spam filters to block and sent to trash.

Hack #2

Throw out some numbers. Lets condense your email content to quick bullet points. The email can be designed for reading and make your content easily digestible in little chunks.

Use odd numbers or the number 10 in your subject line can boost open rates too. Like “9 business owners fail this simple marketing task”

Leading to the next hack…

Hack #3

Be negative. Humans like drama. For whatever reason we like to assign a “good” or “bad” label on things we encounter in our daily lives and things labeled “bad” get more of our attention. Phrases like “the worst” or “no fewer” can get more open rates then other terms. However, you should counter the negative idea with your positive spin and be yourself. Don’t try to make your business read like something its not. So use this hack sparingly.

Hack #4

Keep it short. Maybe people read email on their phones. Get to the point quickly so they can move on.

Hack #5

This one has been around forever, BUT NO ONE LIKES GETTING YELLED AT. Either in person or by email. Make sure to keep the caps-lock at a minimum. Preferably none at all. Keep your emails polite. Besides, spam filters are more likely to filter out an email with all caps.
